"The Two Main Characters"

Some of the school's first coeducational efforts were in theatrical productions, long before any earnest discussion of coordination. What seemed like an ordinary activity had extraordinary implications: these students, whose rules still limited who they could speak to and when, had ample opportunity to bond with peers of a different gender over a mutual passion for theatre.
