Harriet (Abbott) Beaman

Friendship book of Harriet (Abbott) Beaman. 1838-1853. This book has poems, quips, and other notes written to or by Harriet about her friendship or the writer's time with her. Very delicate, even includes some hand-crafted additions to some of the pages. 

Black journal with golden harp on cover and other smaller gold details on the spine. The edges of the book are badly worn. Pages are varying in color, mostly ivory, with some pink and yellow. There are a few copies of engravings done by different artists. Measures: 7.5"x 6.25." Entries are in pencil and in ink.
