Harriet Chapell Newcomb

The journal of Harriet Chapell Newcomb was written between 1874 and 1876. Newcomb graduated from Abbot Academy in 1876; many of her relatives attended Abbot after she did. This journal is unique for its sketches and material coverage. Some pages are missing. Descendants of Harriet Chapell Newcomb had the diary published in the early 1900s and reprinted again in 2012 (still available through Amazon).
